Visiting Thuma Forest Reserve

When visiting Malawi, the warm heart of Africa, it is hard nót to pass Thuma Forest Reserve: it is located only 80 kilometers from Lilongwe, the capital of Malawi, along the road towards the lakeshore of Lake Malawi.

So why not spend some time with us?

Welcome!

The
landscape of Thuma Forest Reserve lends itself perfectly to walking safaris: from an one hour bush walk in the vicinity of the camp up to two or three days hiking trips through the reserve. You will enjoy the landscape, the wildlife, you can visit the remains of an old colonial hospital or visit a cave with ancient rock paintings, climb Thuma Mountain, and, during the rainy and beginning of the dry season, you can take a refreshing dip in one of the many crystal clear streams in Thuma. During your walks you will be accompanied by members of our staff.
